The Chamber Moves to the Connecticut Post Mall

November 2, 2020 - A new chapter is being written for the MILFORD REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and its members. While the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce will continue to connect our businesses to each other and the community, it will be doing so from a new location.

The Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce will be moving from the historic Taylor Library located at 5 Broad Street where they have operated since 1977 to new offices at The Connecticut Post Mall. This relocation is the culmination of two years of phenomenal growth in membership with sixty new businesses joining the Chamber in 2019 and another forty-two since January 2020.

It is the latest in the on-gong reshaping of our organization to position the Chamber to better serve the changing needs of our business community. "Quite simply, we have outgrown our existing premises and this move provides us with an up-dated space that will meet the growing diversity of our business community," says Pam Staneski, Executive Director of the Chamber.

Mayor Blake points out that Milford continues to be recognized as a leader in economic development and growth, "with Milford's year after year economic growth, we are grateful for the Chamber's ongoing support." The City and Chamber work hand-in-hand to support business and showcase the region as a place to work, live, and play.

In addition to offices for staff, this modern workplace will include a business library, private workspace for members to use/hold meetings, enhanced telecommunications and technology infrastructure, and a spacious, vibrant conference room. "During our Strategic Planning Committee meetings, it became quite clear that we had a strong staff and an active Board; however, our membership wanted and needed more. We took these past three months to evaluate ourselves as an organization and what is needed to continue to grow," says Paige Miglio, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of the Milford Arts Council. "I am extremely proud of the work of the committee and staff. Through this process, we kept returning to our brand—Milford REGIONAL Chamber of Commerce and came to the realization that a move was needed. While the mall office will be our base, the Chamber we will also be out in the trenches, hosting satellite office hours in those outlying districts to meet those needs as well."

Most recently, the CT Post Mall has looked to expand their rapport with the business community. The Chamber is a great organization to help with those relationships. "We are excited to have the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce as our newest tenant. We look forward to working together to become the hub of the business community in this area," Ken Sterba, General Manager of the Connecticut Post Mall.

The move will be finalized before the end of the year. Email addresses, website address, and social media accounts will remain the same.
